When I pine for Filipino home cooking, Cafe Juanita will always come to mind. Dining in Cafe Juanita is an experience and feels like being in lola’s eclectic home. Antiques, different sorts of chandelier, ornaments, kitschy decor all crammed in one big house. And in all this quaintness, you get honest-to-goodness good Filipino dishes.

Bagnet Php 239 ( no picture ) – chunks of crispy fried pork belly, with a salad of fresh tomatoes and bagoong Balayan . Bestseller of the house. Definitely something we order on each visit.

Summary : Cafe Juanita serves consistently good Filipino food. There isnt a single bad dish from my numerous visits. I love the bagnet, kare kare, chicharon bulaklak and would crave for them any given day. There’s also creme brulee and mini turon for the desserts. But honestly, everything else not on my top list are still a close second.
